AJ & Sons Ltd is a family-run independent dealership specialising in quality used cars imported from Japan. We combine the standards you’d expect from a large dealer group with the personal service only a family business can offer – you deal directly with the people who run the company, before and after you buy.

Why We Import from Japan

Cars in Japan typically cover fewer miles than in the UK and are looked after to a high standard. Japan’s strict Shaken roadworthiness inspections and a culture of regular dealer servicing mean many cars are in excellent condition for their age. Japanese-market models are often generously specified, and the major Japanese makes are known worldwide for reliability and fuel efficiency.

How We Choose Our Cars

We don’t buy blind. Our Japanese imports are selected using their independent auction grade and inspection report, so we know its condition, mileage and history before it leaves Japan. We favour the models that suit UK roads and UK drivers – from spacious people carriers and SUVs to economical hybrids and everyday hatchbacks.

Ready for the UK

Once an import arrives, we register it and prepare it to a high standard, and every car we sell has a full history check for theft, accident damage, insurance write-off and outstanding finance before it is offered for sale. All of our vehicles come with warranty cover as standard, with extended options available for added peace of mind.

What You See Is What You Pay

We aim to be the home of the best value vehicles in the UK. The price on the car is the price you pay – no surprise admin fees. We can arrange competitive finance through our panel of lenders, welcome your part exchange, and deliver your new car to your door.
